| Review: | Disaster - Do not Join I joined this site hoping to meet a professional black man to date and perhaps have a serious relationship with but was I disappointed. It was the worst experience ever. I agree with the reviews posted about how deceptive the men are on this site. They seem to be in it for sex. I went out with a few guys and chatted with many more. They were less than sincere and promptly moved on when I wasn't interested in having sex with them upfront. They did not seem to be interested in conversing and getting to know me at all. The quality of the matches were poor. Most of them could barely spell and some of them could not carry an intelligent conversation. The ones that appeared educated wanted casual relationships. Not the site for you if you are looking for a serious relationship. I think of these men as predators. Some of them admitted to being members forever (looking for new prey no doubt). One of my dates could not keep his hands to himself the entire time we were together on our first and only date. I should have known that he was a jerk when he started making suggestive comments to me at dinner but I was hoping that I was wrong. After all in his profile he boasted about being a gentleman. But by the end of the night I felt unsafe and unclean. I was lucky that I got home safely. Beware ladies. If you choose to join make sure you that you take care of your safety. | Review: | I don't know yet. I've only been a member for a brief time and haven't had any real interaction as of yet but i was overlooking these reviews and felt discouraged of the male bashing and so fourth. I am a young black male and i honestly consider myself a very decent guy. I'm noticing a pattern of "liars" and "sex addicts" in these posts and I'm not sure if these are a bunch of jaded, suspicious females jumping conclusions or if the male population really appears that awful. I just wanted to say don't be discouraged ladies... some of us are okay and its annoying and frustrating how the immature men overwhelm the decent and make is harder on us. (which is a major reason i resort to the site in the first place) The site doesn't seem to have any problems with efficiency and overall seems welcoming and approachable. | Review: | Nothing's Perfect! I never had any problems with the site within itself. It's very simple and basic. I have had some positive and negative associations with the members. The biggest was the fact that some of the men I conversed with were solely interested in having sex. It appears to have something to do with their ego's. I guess they've slept with all the females who would allow them to in there hometown and decided to make a wider search. I have no problem if that's what they want to do. However, that's not what I was looking for. I have met some men in person and chatted with many who I can add as a friend. I like the site better than eharmony or anything like that because it is "real". A note of advice, there are alot of men and I'm sure also woman on here merely for the "game" but there are some who are serious. Trust your intuition, don't fret over someone else's baggage or comments because you have the strongest tool right in front of you...the delete button. | Review: | Lacking people with "real" people conversation I had to make a change with the guys I have been meeting so I decided to try Black people Meet. I have found that the men on this site are not honest. I have nothing to compare to it, but the actual dating process.
