| Review: | Not For Me Being a woman and trying to take an impartial view is difficult ,to say the least. Personally I'm too busy with life in general to bother with the forums or what they're calling "blogs", whatever they are. But upon entering the site I'm bombarded with nothing but crap. I don't read any of them but the titles alone more than hints as to what's inside. As for the people, most of the guys who have contacted me I consider strange from my point of view. Not my cup of tea. The inapproiate messages are most likely prolific on all internet dating sites. Appears to me that most have no life outside computrer. Women especially. Maybe if they would push there chair back, turn off the pc find something else to get interestd in, guys and gals might find them intresting. Guys there are wimps, women loud w/big mouts never shut up. Anybody wants a person like that, is the place to be. But beware, I was on the site a couple times of and on for app 10 yrs and alot on the photos, those who actually post one instead of there doggs or cats, have been there as long as me. | Review: | A small site that is a real community Okay, I have been on MD for several years. It is not the largest of sites and over the years, I have found it to be more of a place to socialize, than it is to find a date. There is a fairly small core of people who are on the site, though more are certainly welcome. The site is well designed, easy to use & you don't have to jump through a bunch of hoops to use it. Best of all it is free, not just to post an add, but to email, blog, post in forums, communicate... The downside is the size of the site. I live in a fairly large market (Charlotte, NC) and I am one of two active members on the site, from my city. There are less than 10 active female members, that are within 15 years of my age, who live in a 100 mile radius of Charlotte. (Over 4 million people live within that radius) So, is it an ideal site for dating? Not really, but it is a great place to mingle, chat and get to know some very interesting people from around the world. I wasn't looking for online love...Just a place to write...What happened is I fell in love with Matchdoctor. | Review: | !00% Free Site Matchdoctor has an excellent reputation for being a 100% free site, it is user friendly and has a high success rate with friendships and social networking. In a few words, that is what it’s all about. Just like any other site, it has it’s downfalls of which some, can be put down to a personal bad experience of others and they try to seek revenge, by writing bad reviews. It is common knowledge, that any kind of reviews are normally started by someone's negative experience, unhappiness, or some sort of grudge. These situations often lead to people going out of their way to write derogatively, to try to cause damage, to an otherwise excellent reputation. Of course there are sometimes misunderstandings, but anyone with a reasonable attitude, would be capable of reaching a better conclusion than trying to discredit the site by writing unpleasant reviews. My review has been spurred by an email sent to me yesterday, from a current member of Matchdoctor. Apparently her username has been attached to one of these unconstructive reviews. Now it doesn’t take a genius to work out, that people hide behind fake profiles and names on the internet. It is a shame that the person/persons who apparently have had these so called appalling experiences, cannot post their genuine usernames with links to support their ‘genuine’ claims. That in effect would make the review useful. My conclusion then is; these situations are non existent and can only be accredited to a number of disgruntled old bats who have their knickers in a twist and are of unsound mind. I was a member on Matchdoctor for several years and for my time spent on that site, the experience was both positive and fun. I have met six people from that site as a direct consequence and they are all still good friends. Matchdoctor wasn’t a dating site when I joined, so I cannot comment on my experiences of internet dating. Comments [ 3 ] |

I have only had one problem with them when they deleted a blog, but looking back on it, I was being an ass. I have met a lot of people from there, not in person, that actually are sweet caring and just plain nice people. Yes you have to put up with fakes and scammers, but hey, who doesnt? At least MD is good about things like that. The mods are fair, sometimes a little too much so. Not that I am complaining. They dont tolerate personal attacks on people, so its cool. Its a great place to meet new people. Some of the writers there make me want to hang my head in shame, they are that good. Charligurl, Coldinwisconsin, Fender, LipGlossQueen, Bioniccouple, Which Chris is an awesome artist, Joshua, Drac, and MANY many others. I would suggest giving it a try. Since it is a small site, we are more like family there rather than strangers on the net. I've made friends for life and even have had some success on the relationship department. I've noticed the negative comments posted here and I know for a fact that most of them are people stealing others screen names and posting this garbage. It's sad that some have nothing better to do than to surf the net to trash a dating site and the innocent members of that site. These folks seriously need to find some sort of quality activity to enrich their lives instead of dragging people into their cesspool. The quality of the people I have met .. the REAL people..has been amazing...The Mods there are fair and unbiased (as long as you don't go TOO far) they let a LOT slide giving people freedom of expression.. but they draw the line at that which would harm another on the site or the site itself.
