| Review: | YAHOO . . . CUSTOMER SERVICE IS TERRIBLE I used to think Yahoo was one of the better singles sites. However, at this point, I must say I haven't found anyone there worth writing that I couldn't find on an equally good free site. Also, you have no clue whatsoever who is a subscriber and who is not. You can waste much time and effort writing people who can't even answer you! I was a subscriber of Yahoo for several years. I've also tried Match, Americansingles and a few others as a subscriber. Of these pay sites, I admit I was most success at Yahoo. However, this was only because I was contacting friends (I already knew) who had yahoo IDs and profiles (some paid, some not). LOL Currently, I am finding far more people in my area at the free site plentyoffish.com. The real horror about yahoo, however, is their billing system. I canceled my subscription but they continued to bill me. This has happened before as well. I called them within 10 minutes after I received my last notice of their charge. It took multiple calls, over three hours on the phone and much more hazzle to get a credit for the three month charge they took from my bank. This is compared to the one SECOND it took for them to 'automatically' take my money. And, quess what?. . . I only used the account to answer ONE email during the whole entire previous 3-month period. NOTE: MAKE SURE YOU'RE CANCELED BEFORE THEY AUTO-RENEW YOU !!!! You're stuck for another rental period if you don't. The Yahoo reps were rude and uncooperative. I would never consider using this service again. Comments [ 0 ] |

| Review: | Avoid Yahoo Personals (at least don't pay!) Yahoo is one of the worst sites thanks to its HORRIBLE customer service that refuse to approve your profile for weeks on end, for absolutely NO apparent reason. This is after you sign up and are stuck paying a huge rate for a month or whatever, and there's no way to talk to a live human about it - only a robotic complaint form that's like shouting into a vacuum (never got any responses from my many complaints). I'd say avoid paying for this site at all costs - if you have to do it, then only do the 3 day free trial, but even then beware. Comments [ 0 ] |

| Review: | Yahoo Personals is not the best choice First of all there are numerous profiles that are created by scammers from Eastern Europe. Just read what they have posted and you can figure it out. Really bad nonsensical english = scammers. Don't send them anything of value! And their pictures are usually pretty hot. What really pisses me off about this site is the way they pad the number of eligable matches by repeating some of them multiple times. And here's the kicker... They actually use fraudulent techniques to get you re-up when your subscription has expired by sending you fake dialogue from a fictitious made up profiles. They do this all the time and it's fraud! If someone from their site sends you emails that are answering questions you never asked then they are trying to scam you too. Think about it. Go to myspace for free but be careful of the psychos.... | Review: | Just another rip off Don't be fooled by the "free membership" come on. In order to use this site with an practicality you're going to be forced to pay for a membership, which is overpriced for what you get. Administrators are incredibly "fussy" about photos and profiles meeting a certain arbitrary standard. Most of the "people" I met there tend to be stuck on themselves and/or paranoid. After spending hundreds of dollars in the past couple of years on these so called "dating" sites, I learned an easy lesson the hard way. If it seems too good to be true, it probably isn't. I'm pretty much done with all "internet dating" sites. I figure I would have better luck hitting the bars or walking up to strangers at the mall. Comments [ 0 ] |
