| Review: | YAHOO . . . CUSTOMER SERVICE IS TERRIBLE I used to think Yahoo was one of the better singles sites. However, at this point, I must say I haven't found anyone there worth writing that I couldn't find on an equally good free site. Also, you have no clue whatsoever who is a subscriber and who is not. You can waste much time and effort writing people who can't even answer you! I was a subscriber of Yahoo for several years. I've also tried Match, Americansingles and a few others as a subscriber. Of these pay sites, I admit I was most success at Yahoo. However, this was only because I was contacting friends (I already knew) who had yahoo IDs and profiles (some paid, some not). LOL Currently, I am finding far more people in my area at the free site plentyoffish.com. The real horror about yahoo, however, is their billing system. I canceled my subscription but they continued to bill me. This has happened before as well. I called them within 10 minutes after I received my last notice of their charge. It took multiple calls, over three hours on the phone and much more hazzle to get a credit for the three month charge they took from my bank. This is compared to the one SECOND it took for them to 'automatically' take my money. And, quess what?. . . I only used the account to answer ONE email during the whole entire previous 3-month period. NOTE: MAKE SURE YOU'RE CANCELED BEFORE THEY AUTO-RENEW YOU !!!! You're stuck for another rental period if you don't. The Yahoo reps were rude and uncooperative. I would never consider using this service again. |
