| Review: | SwingLifeStyle not for everyone, but it is real Most of the dating sites out there are scams. They only want your monthly subscription fee and there is nearly zero chance of ever meeting anyone. Getting scammed is probably how you ended here reading reviews about dating sites! SwingLifeStyle (SLS) is one of only two sites that I have had good experiences with, AdultFriendFinder (AFF) being the other. If you are a single guy looking for casual hook-ups, SLS is probably not for you. (Read my review of AFF for a better option.) That said, SLS serves it's promised purpose for women or couples seeking some extra spice in their lives. My wife and I joined SLS as lifetime members around five years ago. The cost up front was a little steep (about $130.00) but today, five years later, our account is still active and we've never been asked for another dime. Nor have we been bombarded with sales emails asking us to check out the latest members. Whenever we lapse in use and we forget our account login information, a quick email to SLS Customer Support, with some personal details included, always yields our login ID and password. And the account has always been accessible since day one. SLS focuses on introducing couples and single women who are looking for 'outside' activities. Members are constantly scrutinized by other members in order to weed out the scammers; the SLS community is self-policing in that regard. Members who meet can 'certify' each other by leaving feedback like on eBay, so that newer members can know quickly whether a member is legit or fake. If someone shady appears on the scene, word spreads quickly and that member is ultimately shunned. Lifetime members like my wife and I are even given the added privilege of reviewing new subscribers' profiles and approving or denying them, before they hit the main board. This is a voluntary service that lifetime (or long-time) members provide, so we get to see new people first, before they hit the main board! You can't get better than that! SLS also lists group activities in your area, where you can sign up to attend a swingers' party and feel free to jump right in or watch from the sidelines. Most of the hosting sites are local clubs that shut down to the public for the event. In order to be successful with SLS, you have to bring something to the party. If you're a guy, you'd better have a participating woman on your arm already, or be gorgeous, or you'll probably not meet many people. If you are a single woman, there are no shortages of couples and singles (M/F) willing to meet. The members on the site are REAL, which means you're not going to find stunning beauties with every click of the mouse. Instead, you'll typically find normal, average people just looking to have fun. The members are almost always in it for the fun, not the committment, so don't expect a first date to imply true love or an agreement to meet a second time. I do not work for SLS. But after being scammed myself on other sites, I petitioned Matthew here at DateRater to allow me to add SLS because of it's superior offering. He graciously agreed, and here is the review.
